Playitas Resort is one of the largest training centres in Europe. Top international athletes in many sports and disciplines come to Playitas Resort to prepare for the world’s most important sports events, including the 2016 Rio Olympics, for which we’re an official training base of the Swedish Olympic team (SOK).

As well as catering for professional sport, we offer many other activities for amateurs, such as sports meets, week-long events for particular sports, and cycling and hiking excursions.
We also promote grassroots sport by giving the youngest members of the family the chance to have their first sports experience at our Kids Sports Academy, run by qualified instructors for the champions of the future.

OPEN WATER SWIMMING
Looking for open water swim training? Just a few metres from Playitas Resort you’ll find a quiet beach with excellent conditions for sea swimming, where the world’s top triathletes and open water swimmers train.

OLYMPIC POOL TRAINING
The Playitas Resort Olympic pool is the perfect complement for training for the swim leg.
You can work on your technique in the pool and swim with a wetsuit on, clocking up those 1000 metres any time of year.

CYCLING
Training on Fuerteventura’s roads is a real treat for triathlon lovers, as they have little traffic and their surface is well maintained.
Several routes are available for you to put in the kilometres and enjoy the island’s winding landscapes.

RUNNING
The area around Playitas Resort is full of places for running.
Options ranging from the 8km return run on the cycle lane to the tracks and mountains around us will ensure you reach your goals when preparing for this discipline.
