At Giro Vacanza we have a passion for cycling and a passion for Italy but combining the two successfully is not without its problems. Giro Vacanza provides solutions to assist cyclists with all their travel arrangements without the “we saw you coming“ price tags.

Every cyclist has either experienced bike transport problems when going abroad or knows someone who has. Tales of damaged bikes, lost bikes, airlines refusing to take bikes despite pre-booking or experiencing unexpected surcharges are stories we have heard all too often. Then you have the problem of getting your bikes from the airport to your accommodation and then back again.

There is the cost of purchasing an expensive bike box, not to mention the time wasted packing and unpacking your bike, making sure it’s set up exactly as it was.
Then once you and your bike arrive you waste more time deciding where to ride and despite the hours studying maps the night before still end up going up some horrendous roads.

Giro Vacanza was set up to solve these problems. When you hand your bike over to us you will be handing it to a fellow cyclist who understands the value of your bike and it’s components. We won’t hand your bike to a third party carrier as all bikes are transported in our custom designed bike shuttle. We are also insured to carry any bike up to the value of £10000.

We provide all the information you need for a great holiday and are happy to arrange bespoke training weeks for cycling teams and clubs.

The Stelvio pass is one of the most iconic roads in the cycling world. The highest mountain pass in Italy at 2757 m it is often the highlight of the Giro d’Italia. From our base in the nearby town of Bormio you can tackle not only the Passo dello Stelvio but also the famous Passo di Gavia, Passo Mortirolo and the Passo Foscagno. Because of the distance from any airports (around 3 hours) our bike shuttle/transfer packages are the best way to tick these iconic roads off the bucket list.
