The California city of Solvang and its surrounding area has all the elements needed for the triathlete to challenge themselves time and time again. Quiet scenic roads that wind past the Santa Ynez Valley wineries contrast nicely with the challenges presented by the Santa Ynez Mountains. The cycling terrain around Solvang is unparalleled in North America, but this area also offers great facilities for the multisport athlete.

At our camps we swim in a heated outdoor pool just a short stroll from our accommodations. Adjacent to the pool is a new all-weather track offering a great venue for individual and group sessions. With the near perfect climate year round, the area is a triathlete’s dream and the reason we have been holding camps here since 2004. Check out one of our upcoming camps next spring.

The Danish city of Solvang located just 15 miles from the ocean is one of five distinct communities that make up the Santa Ynez Valley. This old world community which was the setting for the movie Sideways, sports a distinctive architecture, including weather copper roofs and traditional windmills. Regional wines are featured in the city’s dozen tasting rooms and the award winning bakeries are a treat to visit after a long day of training. Museums, inns, restaurants, and unique retail shops as well as the Mission Santa Ines established in 1804, are all ingredients that add up to make Solvang and it’s backdrop a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
